Repurposed content for my Portfolio:
Short Film:
I had to convert my short film Adobe Premier file into one that can be uploaded and viewed online, the format I chose was mp4 because it can be a lossless format which can still load quickly on websites, which is important in order to retain the possible employers attention.
Animated Campaign:
I had to convert my Adobe After Effects file into video form which was then intended to be edited on Adobe Premiere, once edited I had to convert the Adobe Premier file into one that can be uploaded and viewed online, the format I chose was mp4 because it can be a lossless format which can still load quickly on websites. The codec I chose was H.264 because that is the universal codec most commonly and successfully used by video content creators online.
Animated Short Film:
I had to first convert my Adobe Animate file into a .mov file, which could then be edited on Adobe Premiere as a .proj file, which was then exported as an mp4 in order to uploaded online as a lossless format, which still loads quickly.
Magazine:
I had to convert my InDesign files, which were saved as .indd files to .jpegs in order to be easily uploaded online in way which was still lossless.
Scripts:
These files were easily re purposed for the website, since they were already text files.

Legal and Ethical:
This is the personal media portfolio I created in order to advertise myself as a possible candidate for desired job roles such as an animator, the media portfolio may also be used to create an appeal to interviewers at potential university/post-graduate placemenst.
The copyright, designs and patents act states that I am not permit ed to use someone Else's work on my website, unless given consent, therefore all the work include on the website has been created purely by me, and if not contains royalty free assets. This is important to consider, since possible employers/interviewers would immediately exclude me from consideration if they found out I plagiarized someone Else's work.
All the animation work/visuals and video work was created by myself in my own time. Therefore no plagiarism could be claimed on my portfolio. The only task which wasn't created by my lonesome self, was the promotional video which I created in partnership with Shauna McManus, however she isn't going claim plagiarism on my work, because she knows that we both have the intellectual rights to the product and because she is also going to want to feature the video on her own portfolio.
D1:
Justification:
The Short Film I created (TIME TRAVEL KILLS) shows that I am experinced at using camera work to clearly communicate a narrative, and I am able to successfully edit a product which draws the audience into the story. It also shows that I am developing skills in special effects.
The animated short film (GALEXACO), shows that I am developing a strong ability in 2D animation, as well as an ability to write narratives which are comedic and interesting. It also shows that I am able to use a range of professional software like Adobe Animate and Adobe Premiere to create a product.
The campaign (DANIELS BROS: FLIGHT TO PLANET PENG) I created included a poster (print) a web banner (web) and a video advert (audio visual) which showed that I can clearly work in range of medias to communicate/enforce the same brand.
The video advert for the company Sanderson's clearly demonstrated that I am able to work with a professional and well established client (since the campaign for Daniels Bros was for an developing business) and able to create a highly sophisticated and professional looking piece of audio visual work. It also showed that I am able to work on very serious projects as well as being able to work on my more personal chaotic style of media.
The magazine (NO COMPLIE) clearly shows my skills in photography and graphic design, and also demonstrates that I am able to use a range of different software's, since InDesign is a very obscure and specific software to have knowledge in.
The script I wrote (SYMPHONY FOR THE KETTLE) also shows that I have a very keen interest in writing narratives which deal with serous content, as well as my enjoyment for making scripts for more wacky films like TIME TRAVEL KILLS.
Again, the article I wrote on the local cinema, demonstrates that I am able to take a more serious approach to media, with more bland topics to be enjoyed by an older audience, such as the excitement for a new cinema arriving in Sheffield.

LO2: Planning the creation of a personal media profile P3
All the headings below the title will be able to be clicked on, which will then take the user into a different section of the website.
LO1: Task 1, Reasons why personal media profiles are needed
Pass:
Personal media profiles are created in order to show future/potential employers all of the work you have completed and accumulated over time. These pieces of work in the Creative Digital Media side of things could include graphic design, live action video work, articles, photography, animation, web design and sound editing work. The personal media profile will show off you skills as a worker who can work in a range of different types of media. This will be helpful in the senecio of applying for a university course, or the process of applying for your desired career, if you are pursuing a career in media, and when applying to volunteer or free lance for a certain client or business.
Media profiles can also specialise in particular types specialisms, which you can decide to feature only on your personal media profile, in order to make it clear that you are dedicated and highly interested in that certain specialism. That specialism could include things like game design, or 2D animation.
Websites are a good tool to use as a platform for a personal media profile, because they can be accessed by anyone on any type of device. A blog could also be a useful platform to use, however websites are more effective to personalise and stylise, which is the desired effect you want to create since your personal media profile needs to clearly represent you as an individual, and have a clear sense of your personality, in order for your potential employer to feel as if they are getting to know you.
Websites are easy platforms to upload digital content up to, such as interactive flash files, if you are a coder/animation games designer, or video work which has been sourced by Video On Demand websites such as YouTube or Vimeo. Websites can also easily feature pieces of photography, and written work you have completed.
Merit:
Personal media profiles benefit you as an individual, since they can clearly inform future employees that you are familiar with specialist types of software which are used in the industry as a standard, and can also make you shine more as a candidate in the scenario that your port-folio is brilliant yet your grades do not reflect this. This means that personal media profiles have a more persuasive nature at winning the viewer of your media profile over by your work, which shows that you have experience, and giving you a potential foot into the door of your desired career path.
